Programme Officer (Field Coordination)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Programme Officer (Field Coordination) to support its programme in the Central African Republic. The officer will work closely with the Government of the Central African Republic, local authorities and partners to promote stability, extend state presence and strengthen community resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate field activities of the IOM programme in the Central African Republic, ensuring alignment with stabilization and solutions priorities.
• Facilitate collaboration with governmental, inter‑governmental and non‑governmental partners, including civil society and the private sector.
• Support the implementation of projects related to infrastructure, essential services and community resilience.
• Monitor programme progress, prepare reports and provide recommendations for adjustments.
• Represent IOM in field meetings and contribute to the development of strategic plans.

Required profile

• Eligible first‑tier or second‑tier candidate as defined by IOM recruitment rules.
• Relevant professional experience in programme coordination, field operations or migration‑related projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment and to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Commitment to IOM’s values of inclusiveness, respect and humanitarian service.
