Programme Coordinator (Head of Programme Office in CAF) – Temporary

About the role

The Programme Coordinator (Head of Programme Office in CAF) will lead the implementation of UNODC programmes in the Central African Republic, representing the organization to the government and international partners. This temporary, full‑time position is based in Bangui and reports to the Regional Representative for West and Central Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the overall implementation of all UNODC programmes in the Central African Republic.
• Represent UNODC to the Government of CAF and the international community.
• Manage human, financial and physical resources to ensure high‑quality outputs.
• Lead UNODC’s engagement in UN common country planning, programming, monitoring and evaluation.
• Contribute to the development of the Common Country Analysis and United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework.
• Support the local Security Management Team and implement security measures for staff and premises.

Required profile

• Proven experience in programme coordination or management within an international or UN context.
• Strong understanding of UN development frameworks and joint work planning.
• Ability to engage with government officials and international partners.
• Experience in resource mobilization, reporting and accountability mechanisms.
