Deputy Representative Operations

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Deputy Representative Operations to support the Head of Office in Bangui, Central African Republic. The role acts as a strategic business partner, ensuring effective use of UNICEF assets and alignment with management practices to deliver results for children.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Office in managing overall office operations and monitoring programme implementation.
• Provide risk‑informed analysis and advice to support decision‑making and drive operational change.
• Oversee asset management, procurement and logistics to ensure compliance with UNICEF policies.
• Coordinate with senior management to align operational priorities with the organisation’s equity strategy.
• Contribute to the development of innovative management practices that enhance office performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior operational management within an international development or humanitarian context.
• Strong understanding of UNICEF’s mandate, equity focus and results‑oriented approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior staff and external partners.
• Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills.
