YouTube Strategist – Remote Full-Time/Contract

About the role

We are looking for a data‑driven YouTube Strategist to own and grow our channel presence. Working remotely, you will design and execute end‑to‑end video strategies that boost audience retention, subscriber growth and monetisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop long‑term content strategies aligned with business goals, optimizing for YouTube search and suggested video algorithms.
• Conduct audience research and competitor analysis to identify trending topics and high‑value opportunities.
• Guide writers, videographers and editors to create compelling hooks, titles, thumbnails and video pacing.
• Optimize metadata – titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails – to improve click‑through rates and watch time.
• Monitor performance metrics in YouTube Studio and translate insights into actionable improvements.
• Maintain an editorial calendar and streamline production workflows for consistent output.
• Collaborate with social media, paid ads and product marketing teams to integrate YouTube content across channels.
• Identify and pursue monetisation options such as brand sponsorships and merchandise.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record of growing YouTube channels, supported by a portfolio or case studies.
• Deep, up‑to‑date knowledge of the YouTube algorithm, SEO best practices and community guidelines.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret YouTube Analytics data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for briefing creative teams.
