Kinyarwanda Translator – Remote Contract

About the role

We are seeking a native or near‑native Kinyarwanda speaker to join our team on a contract basis. The role involves translating, reviewing, and editing content between Kinyarwanda and English while supporting AI language‑model development.

Key responsibilities

• Translate, review, and edit written material to ensure linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance.
• Collaborate with AI trainers to refine Kinyarwanda datasets and training resources.
• Evaluate and correct natural‑language data for grammar, context, and clarity.
• Provide linguistic expertise for the development of language‑processing tools and AI models.
• Maintain high standards of quality and consistency across all communications.
• Offer insights on idioms, nuances, and cultural references specific to Kinyarwanda.
• Work cross‑functionally with other language experts and project stakeholders to meet deadlines.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Kinyarwanda with advanced written and verbal skills.
• Proven experience in translation, editing, or linguistics involving Kinyarwanda.
• Exceptional attention to grammatical accuracy and contextual meaning.
• Strong reading comprehension and analytical abilities in both Kinyarwanda and English.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
