Chinese Interpreter

About the role

AccIndy is looking for a fluent Chinese‑French interpreter to provide accurate, real‑time language support for a variety of clients. The role can be performed in‑person, via video call, or through online platforms, giving you flexibility to work from a quiet, distraction‑free environment.

Key responsibilities

• Listen to, understand, and memorize source language content before reproducing it in the target language.
• Maintain a professional demeanor throughout all interpreting sessions.
• Interpret jargon, acronyms, and industry‑specific terminology without omission or addition.
• Take notes to aid memory and ensure precision.
• Research relevant terminology ahead of assignments.
• Organize workload and coordinate with the internal Support team.
• Participate in online, audio, and video training sessions.
• Adapt to AccIndy platforms and use equipment such as microphones and headsets as needed.

Required profile

• Must be 18 years or older with a high‑school diploma or equivalent.
• Exceptional people skills and excellent communication abilities.
• Interpretation certificate or a language‑based degree.
• Prior translation or interpreting experience is preferred.
• Access to a quiet, noise‑free space for remote sessions.

Required skills

• Fluency in Chinese and French.
• Familiarity with interpretation protocols and industry terminology (medical, insurance, finance, law).
• Ability to use microphones, headsets, and AccIndy’s online platforms.
