Finance Officer (Professional)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Finance Officer (Professional) to join its team in Bangui, Central African Republic. The role supports IOM’s mission to promote humane and orderly migration by providing financial management and reporting for programmes aimed at stabilisation, infrastructure development and social cohesion in the country.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, monitor and analyse budgets for IOM programmes in the Central African Republic.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions, including payments, receipts and reimbursements.
• Maintain financial records in accordance with IOM policies, UN regulations and donor requirements.
• Produce regular financial reports, statements and forecasts for management and donors.
• Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Coordinate with programme staff, government counterparts and partners to ensure financial compliance.

Required profile

• University degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field.
• Relevant professional experience in financial management, preferably in an international or humanitarian setting.
• Knowledge of UN financial rules and donor reporting standards.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
