Data and Stabilisation Officer

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Data and Stabilisation Officer to support its operations in the Central African Republic. The role will contribute to IOM’s multi‑sectoral response by managing displacement data, supporting stabilization activities, and ensuring accurate information flows for humanitarian programming.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, validate, and analyse displacement and migration data from field sources.
• Maintain and update the Displacement Tracking System (DTS) and related databases.
• Produce regular data reports and visualisations to inform programme planning and decision‑making.
• Coordinate with IOM teams, government partners, UN agencies, and NGOs to ensure data consistency and sharing.
• Support stabilization initiatives by providing evidence‑based insights on population movements.
• Contribute to the development of data‑driven tools and methodologies for monitoring and evaluation.

Required profile

• University degree in social sciences, statistics, geography, or a related field.
• Experience in humanitarian or migration contexts, preferably with displacement tracking.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work with large datasets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
