Service Delivery Manager

About the role

The Service Delivery Manager will be the primary on‑site representative for Apex IT Consulting, overseeing daily IT operations, hardware and software lifecycles, and ensuring that service delivery aligns with client business objectives. The role works closely with the Virtual Chief Information Officer (vCIO) to resolve issues, implement solutions and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor and optimise server and network infrastructure, lead upgrades, migrations and implementations.
• Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, manage endpoint security, firewalls, intrusion‑prevention systems and conduct risk assessments.
• Oversee equipment deployment, maintenance, de‑commissioning and maintain an accurate asset inventory.
• Manage help‑desk operations, monitor ticket metrics, drive continuous improvement and ensure SLA compliance.
• Collaborate with the vCIO on budgeting, financial reporting and strategic service‑model planning.

Required profile

• 5+ years of IT support or management experience, including at least 2 years in a client‑facing role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, networking fundamentals (VLANs, firewalls, VPNs), Office 365 and cloud solutions.
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery and IT project coordination across cross‑functional teams.
