Project Officer (Accountability towards Affected Populations (AAP))

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Officer to lead the Accountability towards Affected Populations (AAP) component of its operations in the Central African Republic. The role supports the delivery of humanitarian assistance, protection services, and data management for displaced and vulnerable groups.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate AAP activities to ensure affected populations are informed, consulted, and can provide feedback on programmes.
• Support the delivery of lifesaving aid (shelter, WASH, health, NFIs) and protection services, including GBV prevention, child protection, and anti‑trafficking measures.
• Oversee displacement tracking and data management processes, ensuring accurate and timely information for decision‑making.
• Collaborate with government authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, and local partners to align AAP activities with broader humanitarian objectives.
• Prepare reports, monitoring tools, and documentation to demonstrate compliance with IOM standards and donor requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in humanitarian affairs, social sciences, international development, or a related field.
• Experience working in humanitarian or migration contexts, preferably in conflict‑affected settings.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholders and manage multi‑sectoral projects.
• Strong communication and reporting skills in English.
