Chinese Interpreter (Freelance)

About the role

AccIndy is looking for a fluent Chinese‑French interpreter to provide accurate, on‑demand interpretation services. The role is fully remote and ideal for professionals who thrive in a flexible, freelance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a professional demeanor during all interpreting sessions, whether in‑person, video call, or internet‑based platforms.
• Listen, understand, and quickly memorize source language content, then reproduce it accurately in the target language.
• Interpret jargon, acronyms, and industry‑specific terminology without omission or addition.
• Take concise notes to aid memory and ensure precision.
• Research relevant terminology ahead of assignments to stay prepared.
• Organise workload, liaise with the internal Support team, and participate in online, audio, and video training sessions.
• Adapt to AccIndy platforms and use equipment such as microphones and headsets as required.

Required profile

• Must be 18 years or older with a high‑school diploma or equivalent.
• Exceptional people skills and excellent communication abilities.
• Interpreting certificate or a language‑based degree is required; translation experience is preferred.
• Access to a quiet, distraction‑free space for remote sessions.
• May be restricted if currently employed by a client or affiliate of AccIndy.

Required skills

• Fluency in both Chinese and French.
• Ability to interpret in person, via video call, or using internet‑based technologies.
• Quick assimilation of speakers’ words, including specialized jargon and acronyms.
• Effective note‑taking and terminology research.
• Proficiency with microphones, headsets, and AccIndy’s interpretation platforms.
