Stock Controller – Fuel Inventory Management

About the role

The Stock Controller will be responsible for managing and reconciling fuel inventories across multiple service locations. The role ensures accurate stock records, timely accounting, and compliance with industry regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily records of fuel receipts, issues, transfers and closing stock.
• Reconcile physical fuel stock with system records on a daily and monthly basis.
• Verify supplier deliveries against invoices, tank readings and loading documents.
• Maintain stock ledgers, update the ERP/accounting system and support month‑end/year‑end closing activities.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts, tank measurements and surprise audits.
• Ensure compliance with stock‑control procedures, segregation of duties and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare regular reports on stock position, variances, losses/gains and inventory valuation.

Required profile

• Experience in fuel stock control, inventory reconciliation and stock accounting.
• Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems used for inventory management.
• Ability to investigate and report stock discrepancies and variances.
