Space Applications Expert – Earth Observation & Copernicus

About the role

NTU International is seeking a senior Space Applications Expert to lead the development, deployment and uptake of Earth Observation services and Copernicus‑based solutions that address key development, climate and environmental challenges across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver EO services and applications using Copernicus data for sectors such as early‑warning, climate monitoring, agriculture, water management and biodiversity.
• Support the creation of innovative EO products that meet the priorities of African partners and stakeholders.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer and capacity building with African institutions to promote sustainable uptake of EO solutions.
• Contribute to the preparation of the “Support to the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme – AESPP Boost” proposal.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in geomatics, remote sensing, environmental science, meteorology, engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Earth Observation, geospatial services or climate/environmental services.
• At least 4 years of experience designing or delivering EO services with Copernicus data.
• Proven experience working with African institutions is an asset.
• Excellent command of English; French or Portuguese knowledge is a plus.
