Conservation Technology & MEL Coordinator

About the role

The Conservation Technology & MEL Coordinator will oversee the health, integration and strategic deployment of data systems and monitoring protocols across the Northeastern Protected Area Complex (NPAC) in the Central African Republic. Reporting to the Landscape Director, the role ensures that field‑collected data are transformed into reliable information that supports operational decision‑making and conservation outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve technical health of data platforms used throughout NPAC.
• Integrate monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) protocols into daily field workflows.
• Bridge the gap between field data collection and reporting, guaranteeing data quality and consistency.
• Coordinate with Landscape Director, Park Directors, regional technical team, APAMU, PMU Heads, department leads (LAB, Biomonitoring, Community, Operations) and the Country Office in Bangui.
• Travel frequently to field sites including Ndélé, Koumbala, Sangba and other locations to support data collection and stakeholder engagement.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in data management and monitoring systems.
• Experience coordinating multi‑stakeholder projects in remote or protected‑area settings.
• Ability to travel extensively across the NPAC landscape.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with park staff, technical teams and community partners.
