Risk Analyst – Remote (Worldwide)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Risk Analyst to join our global team. Working remotely, you will help protect our platform from financial, operational, and reputational threats while ensuring a smooth experience for legitimate users.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor platform data to detect emerging risks such as payment fraud, account takeovers, spam, phishing, and synthetic identity attacks.
• Query large datasets using SQL, Python or similar tools to uncover abuse patterns and quantify impact.
• Design and implement rules, models, and workflows that prevent fraudulent activity with minimal friction.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Finance, and Legal to embed risk controls throughout the product lifecycle.
• Act as a first responder during high‑severity incidents, making rapid decisions to limit losses.
• Build dashboards and reports to track key risk indicators and communicate findings to leadership.
• Provide feedback on internal tools and work with engineers to automate detection processes.
• Evaluate and integrate third‑party risk intelligence vendors.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in risk analysis, fraud intelligence, trust & safety, or financial crime investigations within tech, e‑commerce or fintech.
• Strong ability to translate raw data into actionable insights and present findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Deep knowledge of common attack vectors (chargeback fraud, promo abuse, botnets, deepfakes) and mitigation techniques.
• Familiarity with AML, KYC, GDPR, PSD2 or similar compliance frameworks.
• Proactive curiosity and capacity to lead cross‑functional initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.
