Remote Legal Assistant – US/UK Law

About the role
We are looking for a meticulous Remote Legal Assistant to support our legal team with administrative and substantive tasks across US and UK jurisdictions. The role is full‑time and fully remote, offering the chance to work on a variety of legal matters while collaborating with attorneys, clients, and court personnel.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, format, and proofread legal documents such as motions, contracts, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Organise and maintain both physical and electronic case files, ensuring accurate archiving.
- Conduct legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, or PACER.
- Act as liaison between attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, and court staff.
- Manage legal calendars, scheduling depositions, hearings, and meetings.
- File documents with courts and government agencies in compliance with applicable standards.
- Handle telephone calls, email correspondence, and billing tasks.
Required profile
- 3‑5 years of experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or legal secretary within US or UK law.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or a Paralegal Certification.
- Exceptional organisational skills and ability to handle confidential information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Required skills
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Legal management software.
- LexisNexis, Westlaw, and PACER research platforms.
- High‑speed, stable internet connection and reliable power backup.
