Legal Data Analyst – Remote

About the role

The Legal Data Analyst will turn complex legal information—such as contracts, case records, and regulatory filings—into actionable insights that support compliance, risk management, and business strategy. This fully remote position bridges legal expertise with data analytics and AI-driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze litigation outcomes, regulatory filings, contract terms, and other legal datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Translate analytical findings into clear recommendations for legal strategy and business decisions.
• Create and maintain high‑quality training data, craft prompts for large language models, and evaluate model outputs for legal relevance.
• Support regulatory compliance by mapping emerging requirements to internal processes.
• Design interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Lead automation initiatives to streamline legal workflows and reduce operational risk.
• Assist with data governance, including classification, retention policies, and quality standards for legal data assets.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in legal analysis, legal operations, compliance analytics, or data analysis within a legal environment.
• Strong ability to convert complex legal concepts into structured data and quantitative analysis.
• Proven project‑management skills and capacity to deliver high‑quality work under tight deadlines.
• Experience in at least one area such as litigation analytics, regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, AML/KYC), contract analytics, intellectual property, or privacy law.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL for querying large datasets.
• Python for data manipulation and analysis.
• BI tools: Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Prompt engineering for large language models (LLMs).
• Data‑governance practices for legal data assets.
