Migration Health Officer – Emergency Response

About the role

The Migration Health Officer (Emergency Response) will lead IOM’s migration health programming in the assigned location, providing strategic guidance and technical oversight for emergency health operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate, implement and monitor migration health activities in emergency contexts.
• Ensure effective collaboration with the Ministry of Health, World Health Organization, implementing partners and other health sector stakeholders.
• Provide programmatic management and technical direction to IOM’s emergency health response.
• Liaise with other IOM units to integrate health interventions within broader migration assistance efforts.
• Oversee and supervise the delivery of emergency health services by IOM staff and partners.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in migration health or public health emergency response.
• Proven ability to coordinate multi‑stakeholder health initiatives.
• Experience working under the supervision of senior mission leadership and technical advisors.
