Kinyarwanda Language Specialist (Remote, $40-$95/hr)

About the role

We are seeking a native or near‑native Kinyarwanda speaker to join our remote team on a contract basis. You will work directly with AI trainers and project stakeholders to ensure our language datasets are accurate, culturally appropriate, and ready for machine‑learning applications.

Key responsibilities

• Translate, review, and edit content to and from Kinyarwanda, maintaining high linguistic quality.
• Collaborate with AI trainers to refine Kinyarwanda language datasets and training materials.
• Evaluate and correct natural language data for grammar, context, and clarity.
• Provide linguistic expertise for the development of language‑processing tools and AI models.
• Maintain consistency and quality across all written and verbal communications.
• Offer insights on Kinyarwanda idioms, cultural references, and linguistic nuances.
• Work cross‑functionally with other language experts and project stakeholders to meet deadlines.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Kinyarwanda with advanced written and verbal skills.
• Proven experience in translation, editing, or linguistics involving Kinyarwanda.
• Exceptional attention to grammatical accuracy and contextual meaning.
• Strong reading comprehension and analytical abilities in both Kinyarwanda and English.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
