About the role

A mining house operating in the Central African Republic is seeking an experienced Expat Mine Overseer. The role involves managing and coordinating a mine team to ensure safe, efficient ore extraction that meets production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the mine team to safely extract ore, ensuring production targets for meters and tons are met.
• Supervise direct reports and specialist personnel, aligning daily operations with organisational strategy and objectives.
• Monitor safety protocols and efficiency measures, adjusting workflows to maintain compliance and optimal output.

Required profile

• Hold a Mine Overseer Certificate of Competency.
• Minimum five years of underground mining experience, including mechanised operations.
• At least eight years total mining experience, with five years serving as a shift supervisor.
• Demonstrated ability to lead expatriate teams in a mechanised mining environment.
• Experience managing production targets measured in meters and tons.
