Technical Buyer

About the role

Seerden designs and manufactures industrial packaging solutions for high‑value products. We are looking for a Technical Buyer to strengthen our supply chain, build strategic supplier partnerships, and ensure timely availability of materials and components.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end purchasing process, from quotation requests to order placement and follow‑up.
• Source materials, components and subcontracted services in line with business requirements.
• Build, maintain and develop relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery conditions, quality standards and contractual agreements.
• Monitor supplier performance and take corrective actions when needed.
• Analyse market developments, supply risks and procurement opportunities.
• Maintain accurate procurement data and supplier information in the ERP system.
• Support inventory optimisation while safeguarding material availability.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Production and Project Management teams.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives aimed at cost savings and supply‑chain resilience.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing, industrial or technical environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and technical understanding.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Analytical, proactive and results‑driven with excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
