Communications, Advocacy & External Engagement Manager

About the role

The Communications, Advocacy and External Engagement Manager provides strategic communications leadership for World Vision in the Central African Republic. The role shapes the organization’s public image, drives advocacy initiatives, and supports fundraising through high‑quality content and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement an integrated communications strategy that strengthens World Vision’s brand, reputation and digital presence.
• Lead multimedia content production, manage social media platforms, and ensure timely emergency communication.
• Oversee media relations, donor visits, high‑profile engagements and provide strategic advice to senior leadership.
• Design and execute advocacy campaigns on child hunger, nutrition, protection and humanitarian access.
• Build and maintain relationships with donors, UN agencies, INGOs, government authorities and local partners.
• Supervise communications and advocacy staff, conduct performance management and address capacity gaps.
• Monitor reputational risks, support crisis communication and coordinate with regional teams on sensitive issues.

Required profile

• Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Humanitarian Studies or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5 years experience in advocacy, communications and donor engagement; at least 3 years in a management role within the humanitarian or development sector.
• Fluent in English and proficient in French; strong alignment with World Vision’s Christian values.
• Proven ability to travel up to 50 % of the time and work in field locations.
