Senior Alluvial Mining, Processing and Equipment Superintendent

About the role

Our client, a leading international mining house, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Alluvial Mining, Processing & Equipment Superintendent to lead the technical development, commissioning and optimisation of a major mechanised alluvial gold mining operation in the Central African Republic.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all technical mining activities, develop mining plans, optimise productivity and monitor KPIs.
• Review and optimise process flow sheets, wash plant design and gravity recovery circuits to improve throughput and gold recovery.
• Evaluate and select mining fleet and processing equipment, assess supplier proposals and recommend modifications.
• Supervise installation, commissioning, performance testing and certify operational readiness of the plant.
• Develop preventative maintenance programmes, improve equipment reliability and manage spare parts strategies.
• Lead multidisciplinary technical teams, develop local supervisors and operators, and establish operating procedures.

Required profile

• Degree in Mining Engineering, Mineral Processing, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• 15‑20+ years of mining industry experience, extensive mechanised alluvial gold mining and wash‑plant commissioning.
• Proven expertise in gravity gold recovery and operating 30‑150 TPH processing plants.
• Experience in remote African mining operations and greenfield project development.
• French language skills advantageous.
