Migrant Resource Centre Officer (Professional)

About the role

The Migrant Resource Centre (MRC) Officer will support IOM’s mission to promote humane and orderly migration in the Central African Republic. Working within the MRC, the officer will provide essential information, assistance and protection services to migrants and displaced persons, while coordinating closely with government, UN and NGO partners.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct assistance and information services to migrants, refugees and internally displaced persons.
• Coordinate with national authorities, UN agencies and NGOs to ensure coherent delivery of migration‑related programmes.
• Collect, analyse and report data on migration flows, protection needs and service utilisation.
• Support the planning and implementation of outreach activities, awareness campaigns and capacity‑building workshops.
• Contribute to the development of policies and guidelines that enhance the safety and well‑being of people on the move.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in migration, humanitarian assistance or related fields.
• Strong understanding of the humanitarian context in the Central African Republic.
• Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of French is an asset.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
