Lingala Bilingual Expert – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a native or near‑native Lingala speaker with strong English skills to help train next‑generation AI models. You will provide high‑quality linguistic data that enables AI systems to understand and generate accurate, culturally aware language.

Key responsibilities

• Transcribe video content in Lingala with precise timestamps.
• Describe speakers' emotional tone and intent.
• Analyze grammar, tone, and structure in Lingala and English.
• Define conceptual meanings of words and phrases, capturing cultural nuances.
• Perform complex language tasks to fine‑tune AI language models.
• Collaborate with the client’s team to ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
• Commit to at least 15 hours of focused work per week.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Lingala and English.
• Exceptional attention to detail in linguistic analysis.
• Ability to identify and articulate emotional nuances in speech.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Experience in transcription, translation, localization, or related linguistic roles.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting.
