Content Moderator – Trust & Safety Specialist

About the role

The Content Moderator (Trust & Safety Specialist) ensures that user‑generated content on our platform complies with community standards, legal requirements, and internal policies. Working remotely, you will protect users from harmful material while maintaining a respectful and engaging environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review and act on reported text, images, and videos, focusing on high‑priority queues and edge cases.
• Monitor daily queues to detect emerging abuse patterns and promptly escalate to the Policy team.
• Provide feedback on moderation tool efficiency and suggest workflow improvements.
• Maintain a minimum 95% accuracy rate on moderation decisions.
• Participate in calibration sessions to ensure consistent policy application.
• Investigate removal or suspension appeals and make fair reinstatement determinations.
• Serve as a designated responder during “red alert” incidents such as graphic live streams or coordinated harassment campaigns.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in content moderation, trust & safety, or community management for a major tech/social media platform.
• High emotional resilience and ability to review disturbing content without compromising well‑being.
• Strong understanding of regional cultural nuances and the ability to differentiate hate speech from protected political expression.
• Proven ability to maintain quality metrics while processing 80‑100+ content pieces per hour.

Required skills

• Proficiency with moderation tools such as Hive, Besedo, and Salesforce.
• Experience using Google Workspace for collaboration and reporting.
