Senior Project Financial Controller – Infrastructure & Construction

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Financial Controller to lead financial management for infrastructure and construction projects across Central Africa. The role combines rigorous cost tracking, procurement oversight, and financial reporting to ensure projects stay on budget and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain financial records for infrastructure and construction projects, including WBS‑based cost tracking and cost‑to‑complete analysis.
• Oversee procurement processes such as purchase orders, goods receipt notes, inventory, work‑in‑progress, fixed assets, and supplier advances.
• Handle imported procurement, goods‑in‑transit, and landed‑cost calculations with precision.
• Perform cash‑flow forecasting and conduct regular bank reconciliations.
• Collaborate with procurement, site teams, stores, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless financial operations.
• Generate actionable financial insights and reports using advanced Excel and Power BI.

Required profile

• Proven experience in airport projects, infrastructure, EPC, construction, road or industrial projects.
• Strong ERP experience, preferably Oracle.
• Deep knowledge of WBS cost tracking and cost‑to‑complete methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience with PO, GRN, inventory, WIP, fixed assets, and supplier advances.
• Experience managing imported procurement, goods‑in‑transit, and landed‑cost calculations.
• Solid cash‑flow forecasting and bank reconciliation skills.
• Ability to work closely with procurement, site, stores, consultants and contractors.
