System Engineer – Server & Storage Infrastructure Specialist

About the role

XML International is looking for an experienced Server & Storage Infrastructure Specialist to support a multinational IT infrastructure project in Bangui, Central African Republic. The role involves managing Windows Server environments, enterprise storage, virtualization, cloud services and security to ensure reliable and performant enterprise technology.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, configure and troubleshoot Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Support and monitor enterprise SAN/NAS storage, including capacity management and replication.
• Maintain VMware and Hyper‑V virtualization platforms.
• Provide support for Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and AWS services.
• Manage backup solutions, perform restoration testing and assist disaster‑recovery preparedness.
• Implement security updates, patch management and routine infrastructure maintenance.
• Monitor server and storage performance, resolve incidents and ensure operational continuity.
• Support SCCM administration and maintain accurate technical documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in server administration, storage, cloud services and enterprise IT support.
• Advanced certifications in Microsoft and virtualization technologies.
• Fluent English; French proficiency is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; university degree in IT or related field is desirable.
• Willingness to relocate and work fully on‑site in Bangui.
