Service Technician – Global Travel & Aquatic Systems

About the role

Colorado Time Systems is looking for a Service Technician who will travel worldwide to install, maintain, and support cutting‑edge aquatic timing and LED display equipment. The role combines hands‑on field work with technical problem‑solving and customer training.

Key responsibilities

• Travel 50‑75% of the time, including occasional overseas assignments.
• Perform pre‑installation surveys, coordinate with contractors, pool builders, and engineers.
• Install precision aquatic timing systems, scoreboards, and LED matrix display boards.
• Assemble and configure computers and timing system components.
• Provide on‑site customer training and technical support for equipment operation and maintenance.
• Assist R&D projects, research new ideas, and support equipment upgrades.
• Maintain detailed service and installation records and prepare trip/expense reports.
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and remote login when not in the field.
• Be on call for weekend and holiday work as needed and wear required PPE.

Required profile

• Two‑year technical degree or equivalent experience as an advanced electrical/electronic technician.
• At least two years of experience in electronic system repair, electromechanical equipment installation, or related R&D work.
• Ability to apply electronics, construction, and mechanical principles to diverse situations.
• Physical capability to lift a minimum of 75 lb to shoulder height and work on aerial platforms up to 50 ft.
• Strong communication skills for interfacing with peers, supervisors, and clients.
