HVAC Controls Service Technician

About the role

This full‑time, field‑based position is responsible for maintaining and servicing Direct Digital Control (DDC) and Building Automation Systems (BAS) across commercial facilities. You will work directly with customers and contractors to ensure reliable operation of HVAC control equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Interface professionally with customers and contractors.
• Perform periodic maintenance on BAS/DDC systems.
• Respond to service calls and troubleshoot control issues.
• Repair controllers, devices, and update programming.
• Communicate status and needs with the Service Manager.
• Execute point‑to‑point checks, system check‑outs, and startup for small service projects.

Required profile

• At least one year of experience servicing commercial BAS and DDC systems.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong mechanical/refrigeration service background.
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and DDC control drawings.
• Experience with large commercial HVAC equipment such as chilled water plants, heating hot water plants, air handlers, water‑source heat pumps, and VAV systems.
• Capability to work independently and efficiently.
