Gig Guru – Flexible Pay‑by‑Task Microtasks

About the role

Appen is seeking individuals in the Central African Republic to join Project Whatcom, a flexible, gig‑based initiative that pays per completed micro‑task. You will work remotely, using a Windows Live account, to perform a variety of data‑labeling activities such as annotation, classification, categorisation and sentiment analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Complete annotation, classification and categorisation tasks according to project guidelines.
• Perform sentiment analysis on short text excerpts.
• Submit completed tasks through the Appen platform within the allocated time frames.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy to ensure quality standards.

Required profile

• Commitment to reside in the Central African Republic for 3‑5 years.
• Possession of a Windows Live ID (Outlook, Hotmail, etc.).
• Reliable internet connection and a computer capable of running web‑based tools.
