Engineer (P) – Fixed-term (1 year)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a P‑grade Engineer to support its programme in the Central African Republic. The position is fixed‑term for one year with the possibility of extension, and it contributes to stabilisation, infrastructure development and essential services for recovering communities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Government of the Central African Republic (GOCAR) and local partners to implement stabilisation projects.
• Support the design, planning and execution of infrastructure and essential service initiatives.
• Collaborate with civil society, private sector and community groups to promote resilience and state presence.
• Provide technical input for rapid and flexible mechanisms addressing priority solutions.

Required profile

• Professional grade P‑3 level as defined by IOM.
• Eligibility as a first‑tier or second‑tier candidate according to IOM’s recruitment policy.
• Relevant engineering experience in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Commitment to IOM’s values of inclusivity, respect and professionalism.
