Emergency Coordinator – Humanitarian Operations

About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking an Emergency Coordinator to lead rapid‑response activities in the Central African Republic. The role supports stabilization, infrastructure restoration, essential services and social cohesion in host and return communities, aligning with national development and durable solutions strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency response operations in partnership with government, NGOs and local authorities.
- Develop and implement rapid‑deployment plans for infrastructure, services and community resilience projects.
- Monitor and report on programme progress, ensuring alignment with IOM and UN frameworks.
- Facilitate coordination meetings and provide technical guidance to field teams.
- Support the preparation of funding proposals and resource mobilization efforts.
Required profile
- Proven experience in emergency coordination or humanitarian response.
- Strong understanding of migration dynamics and durable solutions.
- Ability to work in challenging security environments and with diverse stakeholders.
- Fluency in English; French is an asset.
- Commitment to IOM’s values of inclusivity and respect.
