Country Finance and Support Services Director

About the role

The Country Finance and Support Services Director provides strategic leadership and oversight for the organization’s financial management and support service functions, including Finance, Risk & Compliance, and ICT departments. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director ensures sound financial stewardship, accountability, compliance, and efficient operational support to achieve organizational and program objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and develop the overall financial strategy.
• Provide financial analysis, advice and decision‑support to senior management and governance bodies.
• Ensure effective internal controls, risk management, compliance and safeguarding of organizational assets.
• Promote accountability and efficient resource utilization in line with donor requirements and regulatory standards.
• Build capacity of staff and strengthen financial systems and processes.
• Oversee integrated support services (ICT, procurement, risk) to enhance operational efficiency and program delivery.

Required profile

• Provide strong, Christ‑centered servant leadership to Finance, Risk & Compliance and ICT teams, ensuring competent, motivated staff.
• Coordinate professional development, coaching, succession planning and foster internal and external networks.
• Participate actively in senior management and regional strategic meetings and adhere to WVI policies and values.
