Backend Engineer Annotator

About the role

We are looking for a highly analytical Backend Engineer Annotator to support AI development by reviewing, annotating, and improving backend engineering datasets, code samples, and system design outputs. This role is essential for training and evaluating AI models that work with backend technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and annotate backend code samples and engineering workflows.
• Label datasets that involve REST APIs, GraphQL, and backend processes.
• Validate scalability, performance, and reliability standards of server‑side code.
• Provide structured engineering reasoning and evaluation feedback.
• Assess logic accuracy and performance of server‑side implementations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Prior experience reviewing code or conducting technical assessments.
• Strong understanding of backend security principles and secure coding standards.

Required skills

• REST APIs and GraphQL.
• Authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, and session management.
• Microservices architecture, distributed systems, and event‑driven design.
• Database query review for SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB).
• Containerization with Docker.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
