Supply Chain Officer (P) – Humanitarian Logistics

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Supply Chain Officer (P) to support its expanding operations in the Central African Republic. The role focuses on coordinating humanitarian logistics, managing the flow of relief items, and strengthening migration governance in a challenging environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, procure, store, and distribute humanitarian relief items such as shelter kits, water, sanitation, health supplies and non‑food items.
• Maintain and update the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) to provide real‑time mobility and needs assessments.
• Support the Government of CAR in developing migration‑related legal frameworks, border management procedures and regional cooperation mechanisms.
• Coordinate with UN agencies, NGOs, and other partners to ensure timely delivery of assistance to IDPs, returnees, refugees and vulnerable migrants.
• Monitor and report on supply chain performance, stock levels, and compliance with IOM policies.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree or equivalent professional experience in logistics, supply chain management, humanitarian assistance or related fields.
• Experience working in complex, multi‑sectoral humanitarian settings, preferably in conflict‑affected regions.
• Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with data‑driven decision making.
• Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of French is an asset.
