Senior Director of Behavioral Health Strategy

About the role

The Senior Director of Behavioral Health Strategy leads the development and advancement of Ellipsis’s behavioral health approach. This senior leader translates clinical best practices, system trends, and organizational priorities into innovative program designs, treatment models, and service improvements for youth and families.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the organization’s behavioral health strategy as part of the executive leadership team.
• Identify and pilot evidence‑based models, service redesigns, and program innovations.
• Collaborate with executive, operational, quality, and compliance teams to ensure care aligns with the organization’s philosophy.
• Provide case consultation, coaching, and training to program directors and treatment teams.
• Establish and monitor behavioral health metrics, benchmarks, and reporting.
• Lead implementation of trauma‑informed, child‑centered, and developmentally appropriate models across all service settings.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in behavioral health program leadership and strategy development.
• Proven ability to work with senior executives, operational leaders, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of clinical best practices, evidence‑based treatment models, and system trends affecting youth services.
• Experience in scaling pilot programs and ensuring long‑term sustainability.
