Global Fund Project Finance Director

About the role

The Global Fund Project Finance Director will lead the financial management of the Global Fund grant, ensuring compliance, robust internal controls, and accurate reporting across all sub‑recipients and partners. This senior position works closely with the Chief of Party, the Fund Portfolio Program Manager, and the Country Team to safeguard investments and support capacity building.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain grant agreements, amendments, and donor‑facing reports in line with Global Fund and World Vision policies.
• Review management letters, resolve issues promptly, and ensure timely submission of financial reports.
• Identify budget and compliance needs, design and deliver training on budgeting and compliance for program staff and sub‑recipients.
• Track budget expenditures, provide recommendations, and ensure alignment with the approved workplan and budget.
• Coordinate capacity assessments and build financial management capacity of sub‑recipients and the Ministry of Health.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to mitigate compliance risks and liabilities.

Required profile

• Fluency in French and English is mandatory.
• Extensive experience in grant financial management, accounting, and internal controls.
• Proven ability to work with international donors, NGOs, and government ministries.
• Strong analytical skills and experience overseeing complex multi‑partner budgets.
