Finance & Accounting Manager – Bangui, CAR

About the role

The Finance & Accounting Manager leads the country’s finance, accounting, and procurement functions for Water for Good’s program in the Central African Republic. Reporting to the Country Director, the role ensures transparent use of resources, accurate reporting, and compliance with donor and statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and budget‑vs‑actual analysis.
• Support program teams with work‑plans, cost estimates, and proposal development.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end close, prepare financial statements, and ensure audit readiness.
• Maintain compliance with OHADA/SYSCOHADA, GAAP, donor rules, and local tax regulations.
• Manage banking relationships, payroll, statutory deductions, and tax filings.
• Supervise procurement processes, supplier benchmarking, and asset/inventory management.
• Coordinate grant reporting and maintain donor compliance documentation.

Required profile

• Preferably a Central African Republic national; expats from neighboring countries considered.
• Proven experience in finance and accounting management within NGOs or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of OHADA/SYSCOHADA and GAAP standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with program and leadership teams.
