Chinese Interpreter

About the role

AccIndy is looking for a fluent Chinese‑French interpreter to provide accurate, on‑demand interpretation for a variety of sectors. The work is fully remote, allowing you to operate from a quiet, distraction‑free environment.

Key responsibilities

• Listen to speakers in Chinese or French, quickly assimilate jargon, acronyms and nuanced meanings, and reproduce the content in the target language.
• Maintain a professional demeanor during all interpreting sessions, whether in‑person, video‑call or via internet‑based platforms.
• Take notes to aid memory and ensure no omission or addition of information.
• Research sector‑specific terminology (medical, insurance, finance, legal, etc.) before assignments.
• Organise workload, liaise with the internal Support team and adapt to AccIndy’s platforms and equipment (microphones, headsets).
• Participate in online, audio and video training sessions to keep skills up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Minimum 18 years of age with a high‑school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent in both Chinese and French with an interpreting certificate or relevant language degree.
• Strong people skills, excellent communication abilities and a professional attitude.
• Prior translation or interpretation experience preferred.
• Access to a quiet, noise‑free workspace for remote sessions.
